I’m of the opinion that most photography for clients (“commissioned” if you will) has to have an emotional connection to the client. That connection for pet photography of course is the subject itself (little Bubba in my case) but having the client with the pet is even more of an emotional connection than just a cute pic of the pooch. So I always want the human partner in the shot, at least once
